Rescheduled Visit
Why was my mowing visit rescheduled after my treatment? All product used for lawn care treatments typically recommend not mowing for 2 days after application. The reason for this are for a few reasons:
- Granule product. In the case of granular products, the mower will displace the granules causing the granules to unevenly distribute over the lawn. In addition, most granules have time-release properties. If the mower mulches the granules, the product releases at different rates. This hinders the desire result.
- Spray product. Liquid pre or post emergents sprays the weeds so that the unwanted plants absorb the product to achieve its desired result. If the mower cuts the weeds the plant doesn’t absorb the product, causing lack luster results.
- The team. When our team mows directly after a treatment it could release product in the air, possibly breathing it in.
If we’re servicing your treatments we coordinate the treatments with your mowing service to ensure desired results and avoid reschedules.
Other service provider at the home. Why was my lawn rescheduled because other workers were there? Safety is the first reason. With powered tools running around others in the immediate area creates obvious safety risks. Mowing at the same time could also create other issues with their service. For example, if your home is being painted the dust and debris the mower, trimmer or blower is kicking up could get on wet paint.
Solution. If you know you’re have other work scheduled, let us know in advance and we’ll try to move the service day, if we’re in the area. Otherwise, we can skip the visit altogether and service on y service at the bi weekly rate (weekly rate x 1.5).
