Here are a few basic tips that can help you reach that goal.. 1. <strong>Water your lawn less but for longer periods<\/strong>. This will promote deep root growth and contribute to a healthier and hardier turf. The roots are forced to grow deeper to take in water, so during droughts or harsh conditions the grass can withstand much more. For example, it&#8217;s better to water your grass two to three times a week, opposed to every day for less time. Next, know the type of grass you have. Each variety varies on its requirements. As a result you won&#8217;t over do it with those harsh synthetic fertilizers that can turn your soil into unwanted hard-pan. It&#8217;s best to have a soil test done. As a result you&#8217;ll know what to treat the lawn with. The right amounts of nutrients will keep the soil ph balanced. Certainly, healthy soil is key! Of course, weed control will help your lawn to thrive. Preventing weeds from growing and taking over the grass will the lawn to grow in fully. Once the grass is nice and thick, it&#8217;s difficult for the weeds to grow in.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-white-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-4 wp-block-paragraph\">3.<strong>Mow often enough that&nbsp;you&#8217;re&nbsp;only cutting a third of the grass height<\/strong>. A common mistake with lawn care service is waiting too long to mow. Cutting more than a third&nbsp;of grass blades can be harmful to your lawn. Overwatering, waiting too long to mow and the weather are some factors causing the lawn to become overgrown. The mower height should be adjusted accordingly. In addition, the timing of the cut matters.
